Kristen McGuire

Biography:
Kristen has always had an overactive imagination and an itchy drawing hand. For as far back as she can remember she recalls always drawing some sort of picture or thinking of a new story. It seemed pretty natural to Kristen to pursue a degree in Visual Art and Communications. During her education she started writing and drawing her self published comic book, "Enchanted" which she later began to plague the local comic book conventions with in 2008.

Kristen then began to research the children's writing and illustration field after she became a mother and is currently playing the "hurry up and wait" game with her picture book, I Wish I Were Blue that she has sent to a publishing company for possible publication.

Kristen currently lives in Texas with her husband and two wonderful daughters where she works as an administrative assistant at Kids R Kids Learning Academy by day and plays wife, mother, children's book author, freelance illustrator, and comic creator by night. She enjoys acting like a child, drawing, swimming, reading fantasy books, and writing about herself in the third person.
