Biography:	Brent Allison is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia where he is writing his dissertation on anime fandom as an agency of informal cultural education. Brent has published articles and book chapters, as well as presented on anime fandom at many academic conventions and fan cons, and looks forward to going to cons to share his work and to get a good discussion rolling amongst fans.
