Neo NohCon announced for March 2008
The Daemen College Anime Club goes Neo in year three of anime convention

BUFFALO, NY- The Daemen College Anime Club is excited to announce the start of Neo NohCon, the former NohCon with a new twist.

The theme of Neo NohCon is "Art in Anime", and will take place March 7th- 8th, 2008. The focus of Anime as art will spring to life through exciting guests, interactive panels and workshops, culture, as well as anime and manga themed activities. Entertainment will include concerts, karaoke, a dance party, contests, vendors, and much more.

There are two main objections of Neo NohCon 2008. One is to present a rare experience for attendees of all ages and expose them to another side of Anime that is not usually explored by most people. According to President Annie Stoll, "Anyone can go to a large anime convention and play the same games, see the same guests. However, Neo NohCon provides attendees with memorable experiences through interaction. We're like an indie version of an anime convention- you never know what can happen or who you'll meet! Plus, you don't have to be a hardcore fan to enjoy Neo NohCon; anyone can come check it out because there is something for everyone." The second objective is to raise funds for the Matthew Foster Foundation, a charity for families with children who have cancer and need help paying for medical bills. A large portion of the proceeds from Neo NohCon will go to this Foundation.
