News for San Japan 2008:

Smile.dk to appear at San Japan

First major anime convention in the Alamo City to premiere band's first-ever US debut performance

San Antonio, Texas - March 13th, 2008 - San Japan and Viverus Studios are proud to announce the North American musical debut concert of the fan-favorite band Smile.dk. Smile.dk will be making their grand appearance at San Japan 1.5, the first major Japanese Culture and Anime Convention in San Antonio, Texas, as they will be performing on August 9th, 2008 at the El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel in downtown San Antonio, Texas.

Smile.dk is the Swedish dance group who made its major debut in 1998 with their first album, Smile. Konami, a large and well-known Japanese-based video game company, licensed songs from their first album that year to be included in the popular dancing video game, "Dance Dance Revolution" (DDR). With hit singles from the album including 'Butterfly' and 'Boys', Smile.dk helped propel the dancing simulation video game to grow in immense popularity with a hugely dedicated fan base. The first album went on to sell 500,000 copies worldwide and they released three subsequent albums. Smile.dk went on to become a favorite mainstay on multiple DDR video game releases over the past decade. They can be heard on the recent arcade release of "Dance Dance Revolution: Supernova" with the song 'Golden Sky'.

By recently signing with Viverus Studios, Smile.dk will be returning to their adoring fans with brand new music including their new single 'Doki Doki' to be released to the general public in Summer 2008.
