Otakuthon 2008 announces second guest round of guests

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA (May 22, 2008) - Otakuthon, Montreal's fan-run anime convention, is pleased to announce that voice actor Spike Spencer will be its second Guest of Honour this year, alongside voice actress Tiffany Grant and Industry Guest of Honour: Matt Greenfield, co-founder & senior VP of ADV Films.

Other special guests that have been recently added to the growing special guest line-up: Claude J. Pelletier - Founder and editor-in-chief of Protoculture Addicts, Delphine Levesque Demers - Professional fantasy and horror artist, Tim Park - AMV Creator (Doki Doki Productions), Les Major & Mandy St.Jean - Darkain Arts Studio, Lucien Soulban - RPG & Video game writer, MUSEbasement - Manga & doujinshi studio, Cusimo & Mr. Jay - DDR Artists & producers (Viverus Studios), and the following webcomic artists: Sébastien Fréchette "Sirkowski" - Miss Dynamite, Mark Spraque - Dragon Mango, Gisèle Lagacé - Penny and Aggie & Ménage à 3, and David Coacci - Renaissance .

About Spike Spencer:
Spike Spencer has been a voice actor since the early nineties. He has voiced hundreds of episodes of anime including such notable titles as Evangelion, Battle Angel, Suikoden, Orphen, Spriggan, Nadesico, Mar and currently in production on Buso Renkin and Bleach. He has also voiced many radio and television commercials, video games (including "World of Warcraft"), and several other projects.

An accomplished actor, he has worked with such notable stars as Tommy Lee Jones, Sandra Bullock, Frank Langella, Tia Carrere, and Scott Glenn and has been on set with many other stars. Spike is also an author, including "How to Be A Frickin Genius Voice Actor, Step One," "What Happens At The Con, Stays At The Con?," And "Don't Kill Your Date (And Other Cooking Tips)."

About Otakuthon:
Otakuthon is a fan-run, bilingual anime convention started by the Otaku Anime club of Concordia University. The first of its kind in Montréal, Otakuthon has taken place twice at Concordia University and featured several special guests as well as many activities and events related to anime, manga, video games, artwork, and Japanese culture.
